JANESVILLE — The city of Janesville will host three community forums this week to gather public input on its strategic plan.

The first forum will be on Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m at the Daniel Hale Williams Resource Center, 1717 Center Ave. The second will be on Thursday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Hedberg Public Library in the Program Room, 316 Main St. The third will be in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 18 N. Jackson St.

The three meetings will be conducted in the same format and will serve as multiple opportunities for residents to participate in the city’s strategic planning process, according to information posted on the city’s website.

The city is developing the strategic plan that, it says, will help guides its operations over the next five years.

“The plan’s success depends on input from people like you — who know and love Janesville and have a vested interest in making it an even better place to live,” the website states.

Developing the strategic plan has been divided into three phases. The first phase, project initiation and management, was in April. The current phase, stakeholder engagement, started in May and is expected to continue until August. The final phase, the plan development, is expected to start in August and wrap up in November.
