Teens arrested after Weeki Wachee retail theft investigation
WEEKI WACHEE GARDENS, Fla. — Two teens were arrested two weeks after unidentified suspects broke into the Weeki Wachee Outpost and stole ice cream and cigarillos. The break-in happened on July 14. The suspects were caught on video surveillance wearing hoodies, pants and ski masks with backpacks on, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

TAMPA, Florida — City leaders in Tampa are proposing to make emergency once-a-week watering restrictions permanent to conserve the city's water resources. First ordered by the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) in December for Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, the City of Tampa aims to make these restrictions the standard moving forward. Despite some rainfall in July, the region's water resources, including rivers, lakes, and reservoirs, have not fully recovered to normal levels.

BWE Arranges $76.8 Million Refinancing for The Mav Channelside in Tampa, Florida
TAMPA, FLA. — BWE has negotiated a $76.8 million loan for the refinancing of The Mav Channelside, a 324-unit property located at 601 N. 12th St. in Tampa’s Channelside District. Alan Tapie, Thomas Wiedeman, Brad Walker and Hanley Long of BWE secured the five-year, fixed-rate loan using Fannie Mae’s Near-Stabilization Execution. The borrower was a joint venture led by Birmingham, Ala.-based Daniel Corp.
