    Finding Coos Bay Jobs

Below is the next story but first we'll cover how a lot of employers in the Coos Bay area are looking for help as of early August 2023. Many may not know where to turn to find an opportunity that works for them so here is some advice that will make it easier.

You're going to need to learn to identify legitimate job listings. If you go to a site like LinkedIn you will see that currently, there are thousands of jobs posted. However, anyone that lives in Coos Bay or surrounding areas will tell you that there are way less compaies than that in Coos County.

The best course of action is to only give your information to companies you can trust. For instance, there is a job listing on the previously mentioned LinkedIn page for Bay Area Hospital, which any local can tell is an actual place you can work in the area.

If you look at some of the listings in Coos Bay it's obvious that many of them are not legitimate or are not what they seem. There are many companies listed as "remote" jobs when you look at online listings, but usually those are not worth applying for until you do a lot of research on whether the company is legitimate or not.

It can help to use a website like GlassDoor because it allows people to share reviews about working for companies in Coos Bay and any other areas. If a company isn't easy to learn more about through past employee reviews or through someone you know that works there, it's best to go elsewhere.

Am I In The Wrong For Not Wanting To Share My Salary Information?

Online, someone made a post about how he makes double the money his friend does. His friend has been curious about this issue, but OP keeps deflecting because he doesn't want to make his friend upset.

When OP was asked what he makes recently, he downplayed it but did tell his friend he made more than him. The friend saw a job listing after that for the business OP worked for and learned OP was making substantially more than he thought.

OP made up some lies about how his job wasn't the same as the listing and basically defused the situation that way. Now he has turned to the internet to ask if he was in the wrong to lie to his friend.

OP has made it clear in his post that he's a private person. He hasn't even told his parents how much money he's making. His friend also started working 2 years before him, which makes OP feel bad that he makes so much more than his friend already.

Commenters say that OP isn't wrong for trying to keep his pay a secret, but it is bad that he keeps lying about it. Many commenters think he should just say he doesn't want to share the information and not try to cover it up.

What do you think, should you have to share your pay information with a close friend? Is it best to keep money discussions off the table? Leave a comment to share how you feel about this issue.

They probably don't want to let anybody know that they're working and Still have to live in their car because they don't make enough to have an apartment.
