When you're in your seat before a flight takes off, someone may ask for you to switch seats with them because they are too tall for their seat or have some other issue. Would you do it and are you required to in any way? You can find out more below but first here are a couple of Oregon state travel statistics.

Oregon Travel Statistics: How Popular Is Oregon To Travel To?

Did you know there are billions of dollars generated by millions of visitors in the state of Oregon? According to an article about 2018 travel, more than 29 million people visited overnight and travel spending was recorded to be a massive 12.3 billion dollars.

More recently, in 2022 there were 13.9 billion dollars generated by travelers visiting Oregon state. This means that post pandemic travel numbers are going back to normal and are in fact a bit higher than in years like 2018. The worst travel has been in recent years was in 2020 because of the pandemic and that was when Oregon travel only generated 6.5 billion.

In Oregon many in smaller towns would say that tourism is not good for the area. However, with things like online shopping taking a lot of the money out of local areas, someimes all an area has is toursim to rely on. Many would say that tourism is a necessary evil while some totally embrace it.

Should You Have To Give Your Seat In An Airplane To A Tall Person?

I was thinking about seat change etiquette because I am tall and wanted to know if I could book any seat but switch to one I was more comfortable with. According to many articles, including this one, you should never feel pressured to give up a seat and it's not rude to say no to someone that asks you to switch seats.

An airline is allowed to change your seats so you won't always have a good seat and may want to switch if someone asks you to. The most common reason for an airline to switch your seat is if they were to do an equipment change. There are plane types with various configurations they can switch to and seating can change a bit if this happens.

It's generally best to pick seats that work with your needs and if the seating needs to be changed you can always kindly ask someone else to switch. You cannot, however, get upset if someone tells you no even if it means you're going to be uncomfortable for a while.

While many would say that it's up to you to book your seat properly, others would say you should be able to switch whenever you need to. How do you, the readers, feel about this?

Do you think that someone that didn't plan their seats well should be able to ask others to switch? Do you have anything to say about the Oregon travel statistics in the first section? Let me know in the comments!

No it completely up to the person if they want to give up their seat. Myself I would probably tell everyone no,unless it was and elderly veteran. Then my belief is they have earned the right to have what they want.
