Missouri road rage suspect apprehended
ANTWERP, Ohio – On Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 4:08 P.M., officials with the Allen County, Indiana Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police stopped a commercial vehicle on US 24 just east of the Ohio/Indiana State Line. Apparently, authorities were assisting law enforcement from Jasper County, Missouri who was tracking the commercial vehicle driven by an alleged suspect in a road rage incident.

Jasper County shooting appears to be act of self-defense, authorities say
WEBB CITY, Mo. — A shooting near Webb City Wednesday evening is reportedly an act of self-defense, Jasper County authorities said Thursday. It happened near Sunrise Lane where Jasper County Deputies located a man with a gunshot wound, identified as Denis Sanchez-Cortez, 33. Sanchez-Cortez was later taken to Springfield for treatment.
Charges dropped against second man in Jasper County robbery case
JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — Charges are dropped in a Jasper County robbery and assault case. This week, the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office dropped first-degree robbery charges against Bobby Bush, 19. In March, prosecutors also dropped charges against Andrew Reed, 22, in the same case, saying the victim was no longer cooperating.

Jun. 20—A 33-year-old man shot Wednesday near Webb City in what investigators think may have been an act of self-defense suffered a wound not thought to be life-threatening. Jasper County deputies called to the vicinity of Sunrise Lane regarding a man with a gunshot wound located Denis Sanchez-Cortez, who was taken to a local hospital before being transferred to a hospital in Springfield.

UNION TOWNSHIP, MO, (June 17, 2024) - A 51-year-old Sarcoxie woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday on County Road 100 in Jasper County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ragina Miller was driving a Ford Escape at about 4 p.m. when a Nissan Sentra driven by a 69-year-old Neosho man drove into the path of the Ford, causing the crash at Blackberry Road.
