NASCAR penalty report released for races at Nashville in 2024
NASCAR has finished its only date at Nashville Superspeedway during the 2024 season, as Joey Logano won the Cup Series race to clinch a playoff spot. Logano was all good with inspections; however, three penalties are coming from the weekend in the Music City. The most notable penalty comes from Carson Hocevar in the Cup Series. Hocevar was docked 25 driver points and fined $50,000 for intentionally spinning Harrison Burton under caution on Sunday evening. The driver of the No. 77 car falls from 22nd to 24th in the point standings. As for the NASCAR Xfinity Series, everything was cleared; however, the NASCAR Truck Series is a different story. Following Christian Eckes’ historic victory on Friday night, Matt Mills’ No. 42 team and Matt Crafton’s No. 88 team were found to have one unsecured lug nut on their vehicles. Therefore, Mills’ crew chief Leonard and Crafton’s crew chief Jeriod Prince were each fined $2,500. It is a busy weekend for NASCAR’s penalty report, and hopefully, that will change in Chicago.
