The Courts Granted Him Divorce from His Wife after Discovering Her Plastic Surgery Past

What would you do if you discovered that your beautiful wife owes her beauty to plastic surgeries she did to her face before you met her? One Chinese man called Jian Feng was so shocked to discover that his wife spent over $100k to change her looks before they met. Jian would never have found out his wife’s secret if it weren’t for the baby daughter she gave birth to, whom he refused was his daughter because he believed there was no way his beautiful wife could give birth to such a baby as the baby looked completely different to either of them.

Jian then accused his wife of having an affair because it never occurred to him that his wife could give birth to a baby, which he thought was ugly. Nevertheless, when Jian found out that his wife had undergone plastic surgery before he met her, Jian was so angry with his wife when she revealed the truth to him that he sued her for tricking him.

According to data from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), 12.8 million plastic surgery procedures were performed worldwide in 2021, a 19% increase compared to 2020. Similarly, data from 2019 suggests that plastic surgery procedures have also risen to 11.36 million globally, a 7.1% increase from 2018 and a whopping 20.6% increase from 2015, suggesting that plastic surgery is on the rise globally.

Although reports do not mention where Jian Feng’s wife got her plastic surgery procedure done, almost half a million Chinese citizens often travel to South Korea, where they undergo various procedures and come back looking entirely unrecognizable from their former original looks. At one time, Chinese women who had traveled to South Korea were so radically changed by the cosmetic procedures that the authorities could not confirm their identities or who they were. As a result, the women were stranded at the airport after they were denied to board their flight on their return.

However, to his surprise and relief, not only was Jian Feng awarded $120K by the courts when his wife admitted she didn’t tell her husband about her plastic surgery procedure, but the sentencing judge also granted him a divorce as the judge agreed that Jian was tricked into marrying his wife. Recounting why he had to take his wife to court, Jian Feng said, “I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues. Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me."

As heart-breaking as it is to lose one’s family, it must be more painful for the child that was denied and called ugly by their father. Nevertheless, despite the shocking revelation of how plastic surgeries can impact marriage and even lead to the rejection of children by their parents, Jian Feng’s win opens the pandora’s box for the many Chinese men who would sue their wives when they find out about their altered plastic surgery pasts.
