    Louisville's Hell or High Water reopens on Derby Weekend; James Siegel leads bar team + introduces summer menu.

    The team at Hell or High Water, Louisville’s most creative cocktail venue, will reopen at reduced capacity on Thursday, April 29, 2021 in time for the Louisville’s most exciting weekend featuring the Kentucky Derby. Patrons can secure a reservation on RESY. Hell or High Water is also pleased to announce the arrival of James Siegel as beverage director. Siegel spent time on the West Coast leading the bar programs at Clifton’s Republic and EightyTwo in Los Angeles. He also participated in the San Diego Spirits Festival and Eat/Drink San Francisco. 

    “We are excited to welcome back our patrons for Derby weekend and to have James Siegel leading our beverage program,” said general manager Sean Gardner. “James was instrumental in managing our cocktail subscription program during lockdown. Cocktail lovers will enjoy the creativity he brings to our bar program”.

    About The Cocktails

    Hell or High Water will welcome guests with a new summer menu. “Come into the Garden” to sip on Old Tom Gin, blackberries, basil, serrano pepper, lemongrass, lemon, and ginger. Enjoy the single malt whisky Glengassaugh Revival found in “Crimson & Clover” that also has Suze liqueur, Sherry, rosemary, sour cherry, and Amaretto. For a sweeter cocktail, try “A Fine Romance” with rum, Orgeat syrup, chicory, lime, Dry Curacao, and pineapple syrup. “Steppin Out” has fresh strawberries combined with mezcal, lime, agave syrup, and Velvet Falernum. The menu is divided into “Hell” with stronger, more spirit-driven cocktails and “High Water” sporting refreshing, brighter, and lighter beverages. The full cocktail selection is found here.

    The bar is open Thursday - Saturday 5:00-12:00AM.
