Does Covington, Kentucky Have The Commonwealth's Best Bourbon Bar?

There are few things that one could say in Kentucky that is more contentious than claiming that a choice bourbon bar is the best bourbon bar. I mean, it's Kentucky after all -- bourbon seeps from everything we touch! That said, while there are many fabulous bars in Kentucky, many in Covington think that they have the best one: the Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar. I must agree: it's a dandy!

Kentucky's native spirit, bourbon, is plentiful at the Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar in Covington. The charming bar - small and cozy on the inside, with a great outdoor patio in the back - boasts more than 600 whiskeys (450 of which are bourbon). Many ryes are in stock, if that's your drink of choice.

One of the most amazing parts of visiting the Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar is the staff. I mentioned that it was small and intimate -- much like the space, the staff is small but mighty. They are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. Each time I've visited, I've learned something new.

Apart from classic pours of bourbon, the Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar offers classic, handcrafted cocktails, a rotating selection of craft beer, wine, and non-whiskey spirits. They joke that they offer non-whiskey spirits for "those yet unacquainted".
