Our city's spirit and culture is largely alive and well because of the institutions that make it special. One of those institutions is the Mellwood Art Center, also known as the MAC, and you will have a special chance to experience it this weekend!

What is Walk the MAC?

Walk the MAC is Mellwood Art Center's new premier monthly event. Guests will be welcomed with live music, performance art, a community art collaboration, guest artists, and collectible cars. You'll love the talent of the resident artists and makers - and if you love antiques, there's no better place than Mellwood Antiques and Interiors (the largest antique mall in the region). While the event has many parts, the Mellwood Arts Center promises this: there'll be plenty to see on the 40 acre campus, along with lots of food and booze!

• An interactive art experience by NYM Tile (nymtiles.com) -- NYM Tile invites the community to "paint" sustainable hybrid ceramic tiles to be used in a permanent MAC exhibit.
