    Faulkner House Book

    This store specializes in fiction, literature, and poetry books. They have various collections of books, both new and secondhand. The books sold here have good qualities. You can find many books written by Southern authors and classic books.

    The store is located at 624 Pirates Alley. Although the place can only accommodate 12 people maximum, it is clean, cozy, and picturesque. Faulkner House Book has signatures from many authors on the wall. The owner is helpful and knowledgeable. The store opens every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Crescent City Books

    The book store has been around since 1992. You can found antique books, local books, maps, and prints. They have more than 30,000 books and over 500 prints. Secondhand books with good conditions are available here.

    Located at 240 Chartres Street, this is Louisiana’s only Antiquarian Booksellers of America (ABBA). The staff here are helpful and considerable. You can even play with a cat here. The store opens seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    Blue Cypress Books

    Established in 2008, this book store provides both new and secondhand books. The shelves are always full of books, and sometimes they rotate the collection. You will enjoy a book shopping experience here with the help of their friendly staff.

    Located at 8123 Oak Street, Blue Cypess Books is available for you to visit every day except on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The store opens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the back of the store, a small coin prize machine is provided. You can get a plastic ball with either a quote or discount coupon for 25 cents.

    Octavia Books

    This locally-owned, independent bookstore provides books for all ages. They also sell gifts, journals, puzzles, and other games for kids. An online ordering is provided as well. The staff is helpful and friendly.

    The store is located at 513 Octavia Street. You can visit this store from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.
