    2021-08-31

THIBODAUX, LA - The Firemen’s Fair is back in town. The fair is scheduled for October 21 to 24, 2021, and takes place at Thibodaux Fire Department Fairgrounds, 1101 Tiger Drive. The fair has grown into one of the family’s favorite events in Louisiana. Annually, the free fair attracts around 50,000 people and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the local fire department.

This fair also features a parade on Sunday, a big role in the fundraising efforts. The Thibodaux Firemen’s parade is different from the Mardi Gras parade. Usually, the parade features many fire trucks and equipment. The family and friends will gather along the route to appreciate and honor the fire department’s members who protect many lives and properties.

The fair will open at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 21. Bands will entertain the guests until 11 p.m. The same goes for the second day on Friday. This time, registration and check-in are provided for the 5K and Fun Run. More bands will serenade the event until 12:30 a.m.

On Saturday, October 23, the 5K and Fun Run starts in the morning. More musicians are present to provide entertainment. On this third day, an auction and fair are open. On the last day, the fair is open at 11 a.m. and the firemen’s parade begins. A firemen auction is held right after the parade. You can take part in the raffle as well. The fair closes at 9 p.m.

Children can enjoy the various rides provided from Thursday to Saturday with $25 each day, or $75 for the mega pass. Enjoy various options of food provided at the fair, such as burgers, seafood, jambalaya, boudin, gumbo, and more. Refreshments are available as well.
