Legion sub-state begins today
The Windom Post 206 Sr. Legion baseball team will open the Southwest Sub-State Division II playoffs today in Luverne. Windom takes on Sleepy Eye at 11 a.m. Win or lose, Windom will play again on Friday against either St. James or Minneota. The losers of today’s games play at 11 a.m., while the winners of Thursday’s games play at 5 p.m.

Minneapolis police investigating after man killed overnight
MINNEAPOLIS — The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating after officers found a dead man in the city's northside. MPD officers initially responded to reports of a man down in front of a residence on the 2100 block of Thomas Ave N. just before 8 a.m., according to a release from the department.
75-year-old Annandale man injured in motorcycle crash Thursday
A 75-year-old man went off the road on a motorcycle on Thursday evening and crashed. He survived the injuries. At around 6:20 p.m., July 18, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office went to the site of a single vehicle motorcycle crash.
