Morgan Wallen grew up 40 minutes from Jefferson City, Tenn. He developed a strong love for little league baseball while playing on his team at the Roy Harmon Baseball diamond.

Access to sports and music transformed and enriched Wallen's life in ways he never could have imagined growing up as a child in East Tennessee.  Playing sports instilled in him the values and benefits of discipline, hard work and commitment.

Wallen recently learned that the fields where he had such precious memories were in dire need of renovations.  Having been blessed in life and ability, Wallen stepped up to the plate.

The Morgan Wallen Foundation (MWF) came to the rescue of the many kids who are developing their love of the game just like Wallen did back in the day.  A $100,000 donation to Jefferson City was made by the MWF to improve and renovate two local baseball fields.

Of this massive donation, $80,000 will go to Roy Harmon Field via the City Parks Department and $20,000 will go to New Market Field through Jefferson City Little League.

The renovations will include new infields, bases, dugouts, press boxes, backstop padding, fencing and more.

Wallen's time in Jefferson City on those fields was so impactful, he even mentions it in his 4-time Platinum No. 1 hit "Thought You Should Know."

The improvements Wallen is making possible will benefit more than 300 kids, allowing them to play ball in their community once again.  Due to the poor conditions of the fields, they have only been used for practice time over the past seven years.  Jefferson City kids had to travel to the neighboring town of New Market to play in competition games.

"Local little league is a pillar of the community - it brings families together and teaches our youth skills that go beyond baseball,” said Robbie Britt, Jefferson City Little League President. “We'd like to thank the Morgan Wallen Foundation for all of their support.”

“Jefferson City is pleased to receive funding from the Morgan Wallen Foundation. This engagement is not just a financial donation, but an investment in our city's future,” added Mitch Cain, Mayor of Jefferson City. “This resource allows us to make much-needed improvements to our recreational facilities. These investments will benefit our kids, their families, and the community for years to come.

“As a public servant, this is one of the most inspiring community projects I’ve been involved in over the past 15 years,” Cain continued. “Investing in people is a top priority of city government, and this partnership with the Morgan Wallen Foundation has given Jefferson City a bright future. On behalf of the citizens of Jefferson City, we thank the Morgan Wallen Foundation for their investment in our community and our kids.”

Wallen is currently on his One Night At A Time World Tour and with over 2.4 million fans already ticket holders, Wallen has made a promise to donate a portion of every ticket sold to the MWF in order to carry out more deeds such as this incredible donation.

The Morgan Wallen Foundation has a core belief that all children deserve a chance to thrive, play and create through sports and music.  The MWF is dedicated to be there for communities in times of need.
