Hueytown’s new West Rock Mountain Preserve is one step closer to becoming an outdoor paradise for hikers and cyclists. BESSEMER, Ala (WIAT) – A Bessemer man died in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred on the 600 block of 9th Avenue SW around 11:27 a.m. The man, who is currently unidentified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
