Fairfield to hold Power Wagon Parade Saturday morning

Ottumwa Woman Arrested With Felony Charges in Washington
On Monday, Jefferson County authorities located a subject wanted in Washington County. They arrested 19-year-old Jakayla Stevens of Ottumwa on the charge of 2nd-degree theft, a Class D Felony. According to Iowa Courts records, Stevens violated a no-contact order in Jefferson County during a domestic dispute call late Sunday night. Stevens will be transported to the Washington County Jail after serving local charges in Jefferson County. She is being held on a $5,000 cash-only bond. Lord’s Cupboard Offering Summer Food Assistance For Jefferson County Families
The Lord’s Cupboard of Jefferson County is once again providing summer food assistance to the community with its LOAF Program, which begins today. Starting on Monday, June 3, Jefferson County families with children entering K-12 next fall may be eligible for the program, which enters its 14th year. Those who meet the income requirements, which can be found at lordscupboard.org, will receive a bag of kid-friendly food and a small voucher for Hy-Vee. The LOAF Program runs through Friday, August 9.
