Punxsutawney man accused of causing mobile home fire on Fourth of July
PUNXSUTAWNEY — A Jefferson County man is facing charges after his cigarette allegedly caused a mobile home fire on July 4. Punxsutawney Borough Police have charged David Alan Latta, 24, of Punxsutawney, with two counts of risking catastrophe, a felony in the third degree; two counts of criminal mischief by damaging property, a misdemeanor in the third degree; three counts of recklessly endangering another person, a misdemeanor in the third degree; and is cited for dangerous burning, according to a criminal complaint filed at Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline Mizerock’s office July 12.
