MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Assistant Memphis Police Chief Shawn Jones still lives in Georgia, according to MPD. Memphis police released the following statement to Action News 5:. Shawn Jones’ primary residence is still in the state of Georgia. Tennessee state law does not permit restrictions on the residency of first responders.
