Better Know a B1G: Breakout Boilermaker
Some of the entries in the Better Know a B1G series practically write themselves. The topics are either so interesting or left such an impression on me that I already know what I want to discuss as soon as I see who is next on the alphabetical list. Purdue is not one of those entries. The Boilermakers aren’t exactly a bad B1G program. They have been in the conference dating back to the 19th century and have had various runs of success. They’re a huge public university with lots of fans and a big stadium. For the most part, their down years put them more toward the bottom third of the conference than the absolute cellar, and they don’t stay there for long stretches.

Westfield Youth Assistance Program receives grant funds
The Westfield Youth Assistance Program has received a $15,000 grant from the Arthur Dean Family Foundation. The WYAP connects Westfield youth with core services, including mentoring, tutoring, mental health support, camps and enrichment activities.
