    Credo and Transitional Living Services announce merger

    WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Credo Community Center for the Treatment of Addictions, Inc. (Credo) and Transitional Living Services of Northern New York (TLS) are joining forces under a new name.

    In a press release, the two agencies will merge and be known as Thrive Wellness and Recovery Inc. The change goes into effect on Monday, July 1 for the two organizations, which have a collective 96 years of providing mental health and substance use services in the area.

    Credo announces new location for outpatient services

    Credo and TLS first discussed opportunities for collaboration that would strengthen
    service delivery and ensure the sustainability of robust treatment options for individuals
    in Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties in 2021.

    The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), the New York State Office of Addiction Supports and Services (OASAS), local government and both boards of directors of Credo and TLS moved to a more formal exploration of a merger all gave support to the merger talks.

    The press release added “Thrive aims to be a catalyst in creating a thriving community of healthy individuals. We look forward to connecting you to the appropriate program and services that meet your/your loved ones needs.”

    To ensure a smooth transition, THRIVE will implement an automatic redirection for both the Credo and TLS websites and email addresses. Individuals searching for the old website addresses will be redirected to the new website (www.thrivenny.com), and emails sent to the old Credo and TLS addresses will automatically forward to the new email addresses (first initial followed by full last name @thrivenny.com.
