Bally’s changes hotel location at Chicago casino project
Bally’s Corp. has made some changes to its ambitious 30-acre Chicago casino development, including plans for its hotel. The project is still getting a 500-key hotel. However, in the latest design update, the tower has been moved to sit along the southern end of the future Bally’s Chicago Casino, near Ohio Street along the Chicago River, pending approval by the Chicago Department of Planning & Development, Bally’s detailed in a release. The hotel was moved due to unforeseen underground infrastructure, Bally’s said.
Cushman & Wakefield Arranges Deal for Chicago’s First Padel Location
Cushman & Wakefield has secured a 30,000-square-foot building at 219 N. Paulina St. for Padel Chicago LLC, which will house the city’s first-ever Padel Club. Chip Evans from Cushman & Wakefield represented the main investors, Lakeshore Sport & Fitness (LSF) and Fabian Gosselin, in lease negotiations with building owner Walnut Street Properties. Lakeshore Sport & Fitness owns and operates large, multi-sport facilities featuring tennis, pickle, racquetball, squash, swimming, basketball and more. Gosselin is a Chicago venture capital investor whose family has owned and operated a global hospitality and restaurant company for three decades.
Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros. announce fall symphony-backed shows
Grateful Dead’s Bobby Weir has announced a set of shows that will have him backed by symphonies from each city he plays in. Billed as Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring The Wolfpack, the fall tour hits three cities, starting Nov. 13 in Cincinnati, backed by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. They’ll then play Chicago Nov. 17-18, with the Chicago Philharmonic, before wrapping the trek Nov. 22-23 in New Orleans, backed by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

According to the Chicago Police Department, Davien Binion, 23, of the 200 block of N. Incoming PA Program Students Participate in White Coat Ceremony
On Friday, June 21, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program’s Class of 2026 celebrated the beginning of their medical journey with a white coat ceremony. The newly formed class comes to Feinberg from 15 different states and collectively hold degrees from 27 different academic institutions across 14 different undergraduate majors. CPS proposed a budget of $9.9 billion for 2025, with $149 million in new spending over 2024. The budget includes administrative staffing reductions to cover a $500 million deficit.
