Madison Kilduff, daughter of Lauren and the late Jason Kilduff of Pittston, is celebrating her eighth birthday today. Madison is the granddaughter of Gloria and the late Richard Mizenko of Swoyersville; Ed Kilduff of Tobyhanna; and Larry and Terri Phillips of Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Madison has two sisters, Hailey and Sara, and a brother, Owen.
Wilkes-Barre Academy students hold bike-a-thon to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital
The third grade class at Wilkes-Barre Academy recently participated in a school bike-a-thon to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital. This program was supported by all grades at Wilkes-Barre Academy, from kindergarten through fourth. The students were excited to help children in need through their riding and monetary donations. Some students even learned to ride a bike for this occasion. A second ambulance for Damascus
DAMASCUS, PA — Emergency management equipment is expensive. And when a small ambulance service is able to buy a second ambulance, it’s reason to celebrate. Members of the Damascus Township Volunteer Ambulance Service (DTVAC) did just that on July 20 in a dedication ceremony filled with gratitude and optimism. Speakers included Damascus supervisor and DVCAC operational supervisor Steve Adams, PA Sen. Lisa Baker (R, 20) and PA Rep. Jonathan Fritz, (R, 111). Friends and members of the Damascus Historical Society were on hand as well.
