Dunmore Schools sued after sexually explicit film of student is passed around
SCRANTON - The parents of a student at Dunmore Middle School have sued the district after they say a sexually explicit video of him was allowed to be shared by students. A lawsuit was filed July 12 in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania by parents on behalf of their minor son, JH, against the Dunmore School District and several individuals.
Epilepsy Community and Resource Center schedules events
The Michael P. Loughlin Epilepsy Community and Resource Center, 845 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, is holding upcoming events for July. On July 27, the center will host a yoga session led by a certified instructor from 11 a.m. to noon. Donations are $5; bring your own yoga mat. On July 24, the center will host the monthly support meeting at 7 p.m. for those with epilepsy/seizure disorders and their families and friends. A city police officer was stuck in the hand with a hypodermic needle during a struggle with a woman who appeared high during an encounter in South Wilkes-Barre early Monday. Christian Women of Our Lady of Hope celebrate Mother's Day
The Christian Women of Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, celebrated Mother's Day with a luncheon held May 5 at the Woodlands Inn and Resort. The Rev.
