Jefferson’s baseball team garnered nine all-conference selections and swept the three major awards in Rock Valley Conference Valley Division voting held recently.
Senior infielder Aidan Kammer, who led off and primarily played second base, won Player of the Year honors. Kammer, an Edgewood College recruit, earned first-team honors for the third time.
Kammer, a left-handed hitter, led the team in batting average (.458), OPS (1.158), slugging (.635), total hits (44), extra-base hits (16), runs scored (30) and was second in on-base percentage (.524), RBIs (18) and stolen bases (17).
Jefferson senior Tyler Fredrick received the Pitcher of the Year award. Fredrick, a right-handed Carroll University recruit whose previous all-conference awards include a first-team selection last season and a second-team award as a sophomore, tossed 60 2/3 innings with a record of 8-1 and two saves. He recorded an ERA of 1.15 and WHIP of .874, striking out 68 hitters against six walks.
Fredrick also hit .358 with an OBP of .491 and OPS of .873, tallying 29 total hits (tied for the second on the team) along with 16 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
Jefferson head coach Greg Fetherston won Coach of the Year honors.
Senior pitcher Tyler Schroedl and senior outfielder Drew Peterson rounded out the Eagles’ five first-team recipients.
Schroedl, who received honorable mention honors last year, hit .347 with an OBP of .510 and OPS of .896. He drove in 16 runs and scored 17 times. Schroedl logged 61 1/3 innings with a record of 8-2, ERA of 0.57 and WHIP of 0.65, totaling 80 strikeouts while walking 15.
Peterson, a second-team pick in 2023, hit .354 with an OBP of .459 and OPS of .935. He finished the season with eight extra-base hits, 14 RBIs, 23 runs scored and a team-leading 18 stolen bases. On the bump, Peterson threw 23 2/3 innings and went 3-1 with an ERA of 2.36, 43 strikeouts and 17 walks.
Jefferson senior infielder Caysen Miller, senior utility player Payton Heard and sophomore utility player Bentley Wagner were second-team selections.
Miller hit .277 with an OBP of .485, scoring 12 runs while driving in eight.
Heard hit .328 with an OBP of .489, totaling 12 extra-base hits along with contributing a team-high 26 RBIs and scoring eight runs.
Wagner hit .281 with an OBP of .438, driving in 17 runs while scoring 10 times. He also pitched 20 2/3 innings with an ERA of 4.06 and WHIP of 1.403.
Jefferson senior Brady Vogel and sophomore Finn DeBlare were honorable mention honorees.
Jefferson won the RVC Valley Division with a record of 13-1, followed by Delavan-Darien at 11-3, East Troy at 7-7, Monroe at 4-10 and Whitewater at 0-14.
