Baseball: Jefferson's Kammer, Schroedl receive all-state honors; 11 garner all-district accolades

Jefferson seniors Aidan Kammer and Tyler Schroedl were honored in Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-State voting held recently.

Kammer, an infielder and the team’s leadoff hitter who posted a batting average of .457, was an honorable mention selection.

Schroedl, who posted an ERA of 0.64 and went 8-2, also was an honorable mention honoree.

Kammer and senior teammate Drew Peterson garnered WBCA Academic All-State honors, an award reserved for upperclassmen who earned first or second-team all-conference honors, are coached by a WBCA member and hold a GPA of 4.00 or higher.

Kammer’s postseason accolades did not stop there as the Edgewood College bound player won Division 2 South Central District Player of the Year accolades. Kammer was also selected to play in the WBCA All-Star Classic on June 28 and 29 to be held in Oshkosh.

Schroedl joined Kammer on the All-District first team while fellow senior Tyler Fredrick was an honorable mention selection.

Cambridge senior pitcher Carter Lund took home Division 3 All-District Player of the Year accolades, was a second-team All-District selection and will compete in the All-Star Classic.

Fellow seniors Marco Damiani and Owen Bernhardt plus junior Kiefer Parish were honorable mention All-District selections.

Johnson Creek senior Taylor Joseph won Division 4 All-District Player of the Year honors. Joseph and senior teammate Dylan Bredlow were honorable mention All-District picks.

Lake Mills senior infielder Brody Henderson was a second-team All-District selection and will compete in the All-Star Classic.

Lakeside Lutheran senior pitcher Aidan Berg also garnered second-team All-District honors.

Palmyra-Eagle junior Devin Patrick received honorable mention All-District accolades.
