Support animal shelter at Party for the Animals annual event
The Friends of the Blount County Animal Center is hosting its second annual Party for the Animals, and the community is invited. The fundraising event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Skyview at Broadway Social in downtown Maryville. Doors open at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is Fiesta Night. This will include a Mexican-themed buffet along with complimentary beer and wine. Both silent and live auctions will be part of the evening’s activities. In addition, there will be an opportunity to meet some of the animals cared for at the animal center. Pam Ragon serves as president of Friends of the Blount County Animal Center, the nonprofit that supports the efforts of the animal center to find forever homes for animals that end up there.
