Local homeschool association hosts back-to-school workshop at LCU
PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - Cenla Christian Homeschool Association hosted its annual back-to-school kickoff event on July 27, at Louisiana Christian University. The event featured workshops where parents can learn how to help their children acclimate to college or a workplace from a homeschool environment. Raffles were also available to members, including a free year-long membership. Members could also exchange or buy used curricula.

Authorities are investigating after video evidence suggests that a fire that destroyed a Mississippi house of an area police captain may have been deliberately started. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office and Natchez Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in investigating a potential arson case at the home of Vidalia Police Department Patrol Captain Craig Godbold. The incident occurred late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

The Weston High School Softball team invites you to come and get your car washed by the Lady Wolves. The team fundraising activity will take place from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on August 3rd in the parking lot of Weston High School. All washes will be on a donation basis and concessions will be available if you want to wait while your vehicle is washed.
