APD arrest man for weapons violations
ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Alexandria Police Department stated that an Alexandria man was arrested on Friday, July 26, for firearms violations. According to authorities, Victor Dauphiney, 28, was arrested in the 3400 block of Masonic Drive for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and for possessing a machine gun.

NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell has been hit with a federal Civil rights lawsuit by the woman she tried to accuse of stalking her. Pontalba resident Anne Breaud filed the lawsuit Friday against Cantrell, her chief of staff Clifton Davis and three police officers involved in taking the mayor's police report, in which she claims Breaud stalked and harassed her.
