What is the Fort Bend County COVID-19 Mortgage Assistance Program (CMAP)?

It's called the Fort Bend County’s COVID-19 Mortgage Assistance Program (CMAP) and registration is still open!

It was opened on June 7, 2021, and it closes in weeks, on December 31, 2021.

For those impacted by COVID-19, 7 million dollars was made available by the American Rescue Plan Act.

If you've lost your job or have otherwise been financially impacted by COVID-19, you're not alone. Many Americans are struggling to stay afloat as the economy has undergone some big changes in the last two years due to the pandemic.

According to this source, nearly 10 million Americans lost their jobs in the first 3 quarters of 2020. It's a mind-boggling number but it puts this situation into light of how many people may be in dire financial straits because of COVID-19.
