    Light and fluffy bundt cake: The everything dessert

    I call this the everything dessert because it's literally perfect for any occasion. Enjoy at breakfast with a cup of coffee. It's great for a midmorning snack with hot tea or as dessert with vanilla icecream.

    This is so easy to make and incredibly delicious.

    You'll get a light and fluffy vanilla bundt cake. Lightly dust with powdered sugar and enjoy.

    Ingredients

    For the Cake:
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tablespoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 2 cups granulated sugar
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
    • 1 cup whole milk

    For the Glaze:
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2-3 tablespoons milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Directions

    • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
    • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
    • Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
    • Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
    • Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
    • Pour into Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
    • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    • Cool: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
    • Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. If the glaze is too thick, add more milk a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
    • Glaze the Cake: Once the cake is completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
    • Serve: Slice and enjoy your delicious bundt cake!
