BBQ Ribs: The Ultimate Meat Lovers At Home Dinner Recipe

BBQ ribs are such a treat! Sweet, sticky, and top with as much sauce as you desire. I could eat these alone, just for dinner but, for a well-rounded meal, I recommend you pair with a baked potato and a side of veggies.

    Ingredients

    For the ribs:
    • 2 racks of baby back ribs (about 3-4 pounds)
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon salt
    • 1 tablespoon black pepper
    • 1 tablespoon paprika
    • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

    For the BBQ sauce:
    • 1 cup ketchup
    • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions

    • Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
    • Prepare the ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
    • Make the dry rub: In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and oregano. Rub the mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
    • Bake the ribs: Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil, sealing the edges tightly. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
    • Make the BBQ sauce: While the ribs are baking, combine all the BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened. Adjust seasoning to taste.
    • Glaze and grill: Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Preheat a grill to medium heat. Brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs and place them on the grill. Cook for about 5-10 minutes per side, basting with more sauce, until caramelized and slightly charred.
    • Serve: Remove the ribs from the grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then cut into portions and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

    What do you think?
