Grilled Burgers: Backyard Lunch Recipe You'll Adore

Flame-grilled burgers are the best. The flavor is unmatched. Make your favorite burger dressed up with toppings like lettuce, tomato, onion and other fixin's. And don't forget your favorite sauces like ketchup, mustard, or mayo.

What makes this recipe is the seasonings. I've seen so many burgers grilled with nothing but salt and pepper or plain.

The seasoning is what makes it! This has a nice mix of spices like onion and garlic powders, salt and pepper, of course and other seasonings.

    So delicious!

Eat this with a side of fries or a baked potato.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 4 burger buns
    • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise

    Directions

    • Prepare the Patty Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined; avoid overworking the meat.
    • Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indent in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
    • Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, ensure the coals are hot and ashy.
    • Grill the Burgers: Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the burgers and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness (internal temperature of 160°F for medium).
    • Add Cheese (Optional): If you’re adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking, closing the grill lid to melt the cheese.
    • Toast the Buns: While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until golden.
    • Assemble the Burgers: Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Assemble your burgers with your choice of toppings and sauces on the toasted buns.
    • Serve: Serve hot with your favorite sides, like fries or a salad. Enjoy your delicious grilled burgers!
