    Here's how you make it...

    Ingredients

    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 tablespoon butter or oil (olive oil or vegetable oil)
    • Salt and pepper, to taste

    Directions

    • Heat the Pan: In a non-stick skillet, heat the butter or oil over medium heat until melted and shimmering.
    • Crack the Eggs: Carefully crack the eggs into the skillet. If you prefer, you can crack them into a small bowl first and then gently slide them into the pan.
    • Cook the Eggs: Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes, or until the whites are fully set and the edges begin to crisp. For sunny-side-up eggs, cook until the yolks are still runny.
    • Optional – Flip the Eggs: If you prefer over-easy or over-medium eggs, gently flip them with a spatula and cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on your desired yolk doneness.
    • Season: Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
    • Serve: Carefully transfer the fried eggs to a plate and serve immediately. They pair well with toast, on top of salads, or with breakfast meats.
