Plymouth man charged with abandoning dog in Wilkes-Barre
WILKES-BARRE — A Plymouth man is facing felony and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges after he allegedly abandoned a dog in Wilkes-Barre. Dennis W. Meekins, 41, last known address as Willow Street, was identified by multiple surveillance cameras as the man who left a dog caged inside a kennel on a sidewalk in front of a house on Loomis Street on July 12, according to court records.

The East Stroudsburg Area School District math teacher accused of recording his fiancée's daughters in his bathroom has waived his preliminary hearing. John Swineford, 43, of East Stroudsburg, was listed online as a math teacher at East Stroudsburg High School South before the page went under redesign. One person faces attempted homicide charges in a Tioga County, Pa. shooting
Pennsylvania State Police have charged a 69-year-old man with attempted homicide in a shooting that injured one person in Tioga County Thursday.
