The FSFQ program focuses on a voluntary curfew aimed at reducing airport related noise during “quiet hours” from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. The authority’s leaderboard lists the quietest operators, A-Rated Operators, those that flew at least 50 times monthly based on three elements: voluntary nighttime curfew violations; arrival altitude; and aircraft noise Stage 3, which involves jets; and a 1,000-foot perimeter threshold for turbo and piston operators flying unnecessarily low while departing and arriving.
