Trinity Lutheran Church of Jeromesville, packed 100 Flood Buckets for disaster relief in Iowa.

The packers ranged from age 2 to 97 years old.

Flood buckets are 5-gallon buckets with a lid that are filled with bleach, trash bags, paper towels, rags, scouring powder, liquid cleaner, scrub brush and rubber gloves.

The NALC Disaster Relief Response team arrived in May and loaded a box truck with the buckets and headed to Iowa that day.

Council President Julie Tucker had challenged the congregation to do this after she heard about another congregation doing this while at the regional convocation.

Her challenge was met by the congregation with the help of community businesses.
