    Jersey City Hit-and-Run Leaves Two with Serious Injuries

    JERSEY CITY, NJ -  A man and a woman were seriously injured in the early morning hours of Saturday when the moped they were traveling on was struck by another vehicle.

    According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a collision in the area of Martin Luther King Drive and Wilkinson Avenue at approximately 12:20 a.m. Upon their arrival, officers located two victims, a 36-year-old male of East Orange and a 26-year-old female of Newark. The second vehicle did not remain at the scene but was subsequently identified and recovered.

    The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating the hit-and-run and have asked anyone with information to contact the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor at 201-915-1345 or to leave an anonymous tip by clicking here.

    Both victims were transported to Jersey City Medical Center where they are being treated for their injuries.
