    Need a new job? About a dozen companies will be at this North Jersey job fair

    The Jack and Ronnie McGreevey Civic Association will host a job fair for Hudson County residents on July 25 in Jersey City.

    The event will start at 11 a.m. and will take place on 73 Martin Luther King Drive. It will feature employers from various sectors, including transportation, public safety and education, in a celebration of the region’s growing economic opportunities.

    The job fair aims to connect job seekers, especially those with relevant training or work experience, with potential employers. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance.

    Jack and Ronnie McGreevey Civic Association

    Founded in 2023 by former Gov. Jim McGreevey, the civic association is named after McGreevey’s parents. Its mission is to alleviate unemployment and health pressures for Hudson County residents, while recognizing individuals who have dedicated themselves to community service and professional success. According to a press release, McGreevey hopes the job fair will provide employment opportunities with reputable employers and highlight the hardworking and passionate residents of the county.

    The list of participating employers includes the Jersey City Police Department, Council for Airport Opportunity, Jersey City PBOA, New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, TSA, Newark Board of Education, PCF, NJ Transit, Primerica, Stop & Shop, Always Home Care, Western Carriers and BAYADA.
