BRICK – Carpets To Go will be hosting their fourth annual College Dorm Area Rug Giveaway on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 10am, line starting at 8am.

Carpets To Go has worked for 8-12 weeks to make 200 rugs for this event, which will all be given away for FREE to students and teachers.

Four rug sizes are available – Bound 5x7s, 4x6s, 3x5s, and 3’ Rounds.

The only rules are that the college student MUST be present and they MUST be wearing their college shirt. Teachers MUST wear the shirt of the school they teach at or wear their Teacher ID.

“We want your young adults to have more comfort while they are away at college,” Founder and CEO Glenn Scher said. “We are a company that gives back to community because it just matters.” Glenn learned in life that giving back to community is extremely important. He started the College Dorm Area Rug Giveaway because “we want to give extra comfort while they are away at school.” There will be a DJ, free hot dogs and bottled water for those in attendance.

Carpets To Go is located at 24 Brick Blvd., Brick, NJ.

Glenn opened on January 1, 2010 with the vision to have a Carpet store with the Best Customer Service, a No Pressure Environment and In Stock Inventory. Fast forward 14 years, Carpets To Go is now NJ’s LARGEST IN STOCK Carpet Store with a no pressure showroom and has the Best Google Reviews in the State of NJ. Our values have always stayed the same.

Glenn Scher accomplished his dream of owning a flooring store rooted in the simple ideals of quality inventory, expert installation, and outstanding customer service. He is a second-generation carpet store owner, following his parents footsteps. Carpets To Go opened after the 2008 recession and was told by many that this was not the time to invest in a retail business. However, Glenn’s ambition lead him to a successful carpet and flooring business, which prides itself on giving back to the community.
