BERKELEY – Two sanitation workers driving a garbage truck were responsible for saving a man’s life, and were lauded at a recent Township Council meeting for their quick thinking and compassion. Jackson Library Closed For Next Two Weeks
JACKSON – The township library will remain closed for around two weeks due to failure of its HVAC system. The Jackson branch of the Ocean County Library system announced the closure on July 9, stating that it should re-open within two weeks after completion of repairs. Borrowed items can be returned at drop boxes on-site at the Jackson Library, or at any other Ocean County Library branch.
Two Arrested For Drug Distribution
LAKEHURST – Two Ocean County residents have been arrested and charged after cocaine was found during a traffic stop on July 7, police said. Around 2 a.m. a Lakehurst Police officer pulled over a Chrysler 300 on Chestnut Street, which was driven by 23-year-old Qurion Kellam of Toms River with 45-year-old Jennifer Serio of Seaside Heights as the passenger.
