A proposed settlement can benefit individuals who purchased tuna fish from several large companies including StarKist and BumbleBee.

If the final settlements are approved, consumers could benefit from a total settlement of $152.2 million.

If you purchased the included brands between June 1, 2011 and July 1, 2015 you are eligible to submit a claim. You must also have resided in one of the following states when making the purchase; Arizona, Arkansas, California, the District of Columbia, Florida, Guam, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The amount one ultimately receives will be based on the number of valid claims received. Note that the online claim submission does not require proof of purchase. A press release from a legal firm noted that the amount could be as little as $0.12 per can.

To learn more or to file a claim go to www.TunaEndPurchaserSettlement.com and click the File A Claim tab at the top of the webpage.
