    Check Status Of Your State's Home Energy Rebate Program; $8.8 Billion Available

    A recently updated map from U.S. Department of Energy shows which states have approved Home Energy Rebates. The available rebate program includes $8.8 billion for home energy rebates.

    The rebate program can make you eligible for cash back on appliances and other home improvements designed to help lower energy bills.

    According to thje map updated on October 8, 2024, rebates are currently available in 7 states including California and New York. Twelve (12) other states including Georgia, Colorado, North Carolina, Washington and Oregon have had their applications approved. South Dakota is the only state reportedlky not participating in the program.

    Rebates are determined by the individual state filing but can include such items as:

    Your state will determine which products are eligible from the following list — you can save up to:

    • $8,000 for an ENERGY STAR-certified electric heat pump for space heating and cooling.
    • $4,000 for an electrical panel.
    • $2,500 for electrical wiring.
    • $1,750 for an ENERGY STAR-certified electric heat pump water heater.
    • $1,600 for insulation, air sealing, and mechanical ventilation products.
    • $840 for an ENERGY STAR-certified electric heat pump clothes dryer.
    • $840 for an ENERGY STAR-certified electric stove, cooktop, range, or oven.
