Make Easter Great This Weekend In Dickinson With These 4 Family-Friendly Activities
2021-03-30
This year is moving by so fast that it’s hard to believe it’s not still January.
When actually, Easter is nearly here.
This Sunday the time has arrived for food coloring, bright-colored eggs, and jelly beans (Starburst, please!), and churches full of rejoicing. Perhaps, you’re already preparing your Easter basket for the kids and the plan in place for where to hide it — excuse me, for where the Easter Bunny will hide the basket.
But, if you’re looking to get out of the house after church for a bit with the kids and enjoy the warm temperatures this weekend, here are a few options for you.
All of which are in Dickinson this weekend.
All events are subject to change according to the event host.
“Every day’s a rebirth. Every day is Easter. Just remember to color your eggs happy colors, like yellow and baby blue.” -Mark Ellinger
Let’s go for a stroll!
Downtown Dickinson is putting on the Easter Stroll on Saturday, April 3rd from 9 AM to 5 PM at multiple locations in downtown Dickinson. This event is open to anyone and, as their Facebook page says, there will be prizes. Local businesses will also be in attendance.
They ask that you, “Come shop and fill your Easter Baskets with Items from local businesses!”
“…God loves us too much to leave us alone to contend with the pain, guilt and loneliness of our present life.” — Josh McDowell
Say hello to the Easter Bunny!
The Easter bunny, before all his hard work making eggs and giving out baskets, will be arriving to Dickinson to say hello to the kids. Come see the Easter Bunny at the Prairie Hills Mall on Saturday, April 3rd from 11 AM to 4 PM. Scan the code from this link to schedule photos with the Bunny himself.
No scavenger hunt needed to find this Easter Bunny as he’ll be inside the mall through the east entrance.
“Easter is the only time of year when it is safe to put all your eggs in one basket.” — Anonymous
Let’s for a hunt!
Take the kids to Rocky Butte Park this Saturday, April 3rd from 11 AM to 1 PM for an Easter Egg Scavenger hunt. This year’s scavenger hunt is brought to you by Angel 37 and the Stark County Sheriff's office.
“Someone must X-ray my stomach to see if the Peeps I ate on Easter are still in there, intact and completely undigested. And I’m not talking about this past Easter. I’m talking about the last time I celebrated Easter, in 1962.” — Bill Maher
Hungry?
Look no further than Players Sports Bar and Grill for their Easter Brunch starting at 10 AM on Sunday, April 4th. Come for your favorite brunch specialties, drinks, as well as the full menu, plus face painting for the kids.
It’s a great way to have a meal with family this Easter Sunday— and even better to not have to wash the dishes.
