Women finally got the right to vote in 1912, who knows how much longer it would’ve taken without her. Her biggest rival happened to be her brother, Harvey Scott, who also edited the Oregonian and opposed woman suffrage in many editorials. It’s important that we remember folks like her and the sacrifices she made just to have basic humans rights.
This woman led the fight for women’s rights in Oregon.
