As excerpted from the report: Alistar Management Operations Manager Josey Krause said Thursday, Aug. 1 that the restaurant is closing because a remodel with a drive-thru, which is an expectation from KFC, is not possible at that location due to its size. The business plans to reopen in a new KFC location with a drive-thru in mid-2025.

The report furthers the city's new location has been selected, but due to the sale not yet having been finalized the address has not been made public.
