This article is based on corporate postings and accredited media reports. Linked information within this article is attributed to the following outlets: ScrapeHero.com and RGJ.com.

    Introduction

A new In-N-Out Burger restaurant may be coming to Reno, Nevada, where a prior company location in the city was once besieged by ongoing weather challenges.

Firstly, for perspective per ScrapeHero.com’s most recently updated location count of company restaurants: There are 403 In-N-Out Burger restaurants in the United States as of July 03, 2024. The state and territory with the most number of In-N-Out Burger locations in the US is California, with 276 restaurants, which is about 68% of all In-N-Out Burger restaurants in the US.

It should be noted this most current figure is nine above the November, 2023 update.

    Let us explore.

    In-N-Out Burger, 2024

According to a recent report from RGJ.com, the chain continues to look towards the expansion of its national footprint, this time by filing the requisite city permit for the following location: 880 E. Plumb Lane on the corner of Kietzke Lane in Reno.

As excerpted from the report, which punctuates the surprising nature of the potential new restaurant: In-N-Out opened its second Reno location at West End Commons in February 2023, nearly two decades after its South Virginia Street restaurant opened in 2004. At the time, winter weather was cited as a key challenge for the company, which only uses fresh patties that have to make the trek through the Sierra Nevada from California.

The issue has reportedly since been rectified.

If successful, as expected based on past company trends, the new restaurant will be the third in the city of Reno.

    Conclusion

The national expansion of In-N-Out Burger is an ongoing story. In the event of pertinent updates to this matter, inclusive of official announcements of milestone dates, I will share them here on NewsBreak.
