While his career was one of many achievements and awards, especially in the aerospace industry, beginning as a draftsman in Texas to becoming the Director of production operations at Lockheed Martin’s facility in New Orleans East, it is Jimmy’s personal life that will be remembered most.

James Alvin Graham, age 89, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, in Slidell. James was blessed to have two birthdays. He was born January 25th, 1935, in Bassfield, Mississippi; however, the small-town Mississippi doctor didn’t get there to certify his birth until two days later. From thereon out, he continued to do things his way. Joining the Navy in his teens and retiring after 28 years as an E-9 Hull Technician Master Chief in 1978. He “dropped anchor” in Slidell, Louisiana, where he joined Martin Marrietta and then retired again from Lockheed Martin in 2001. He was a founding member of Thompson Road Baptist Church. His faith was strong, and his family ties went deep, and his friends were many.
