Cumberland County Sheriff’s Investigators have assisted the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office in the arrest of a suspect in the cold case murder of a Louisiana woman. On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Judith “Judy” Weiser was taken into custody in Tennessee with the assistance of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Her alleged accomplice, Russell Lee, was apprehended on July 9 in Missouri with the help of the Mountain Grove Police Department.

Arrests made in Lafourche Parish cold case murder from 1986
LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. — The Lafourche Parish sheriff says two people have been arrested and charged with the murder of a Golden Meadow woman in 1986. Russell Lee and Judith Weiser are charged with the murder in the death of 22-year-old Paula Boudreaux. After Boudreaux went missing, skeletal remains were found in January 1989 in Slidell. Last year, those remains were identified as those of Boudreaux, prompting cold case investigators to reopen the case.
