Company Awards Long Beach CTE Program with $5000
LONG BEACH (GG) — Sparklight (a leading broadband communications provider), recently awarded $5,000 to Long Beach High School Career & Technical Education Program through the company’s Charitable Giving Fund. The school’s program was one of 26 recipients across the company’s 24-state footprint that received grants totaling more than $125,000 during the company’s most recent award period.
Mandeville lights up the lake for a 10th year
An estimated 5,000 residents and visitors to the area celebrated the Independence Day holiday on July 3 along the Mandeville lakefront for Light Up the Lake. The event was one of the most anticipated events of the year and included a military tribute that included a Presentation of Colors ceremony and a 21-gun salute, a concert featuring Tyler Kinchen and the Right Pieces, a Keep Mandeville Beautiful Kids Tent, food trucks, games, crafts and a spectacular fireworks show over the lake.
