First Look Inside: Dave & Buster’s Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The long-awaited grand opening of Dave and Buster’s new Johnson City location is just days away and News 34 is giving you a first look inside.

The new entertainment center is scheduled to open on Monday at the Oakdale Commons.

Dave & Buster’s is known as a one stop destination for games, prizes, food, drinks, and sports.

The Johnson City location features an arcade with over 100 games, a restaurant with an extensive menu, and a sports bar with innovative drinks. It is also home to a 40 foot “Wow” wall television that can display up to 16 live sporting events at a time.

General Manager Rick Schrumpf says Dave and Buster’s is a perfect spot for the whole family.

“There’s a game for everybody. If you want to shoot basketball, you want to play skee ball, you want to play bobble head baseball that actually has the real MLB players and their likeness, you can actually hit homeruns off of Garrett Cole. It’s a really cool game. Honestly, there’s something for everybody here,” said Schrumpf.

Schrumpf says there’s never a dull day at Dave and Buster’s.

In addition to the variety of games, the restaurant is also rolling out an entirely new menu with brand new cocktails.

Schrumpf says if you’ve been to a Dave and Buster’s before, this one will be entirely different. He says he’s been looking forward to the grand opening.

“This has been probably the most fun opening that I’ve ever been a part of. The staff is great, there’s a lot of energy. Just the fever of the community for us to open, everybody I’ve talked to about working for Dave and Buster’s they’re like ‘when are you opening, when are you opening.’ We had friends and family night the other night and everybody that came in just had an amazing time. The energy in the building is infectious and you just can’t help but smile and have a good time when you’re here,” said Schrumpf.

Dave and Buster’s will be open from 10 to 12 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 to 1 on Friday and Saturday.
